1st Semester

Unit 1- Guitar History, Parts of the Guitar, Strings, Tuning, Guitar Purchase and Basic Rhythms

Unit 2- Playing the guitar using single note melodies, duets and trio's

Unit 3- Chords and Strumming using 2, 3, and 4 chord songs

Unit 4- Classical Style

Unit 5- Working in groups (bands)





2nd Semester: Guitar Music of the 20th Century and Beyond

January- Music of the 50's

February- Music of the 60's

March- Music of the 70's

April- Music of the 80's

May- Music of the 90's and Beyond
